Claims Administration

RMS has administered claims, litigation and medical malpractice for very large and complex entities. The clients include, but not limited to, services to law enforcement, hospitals, healthcare professionals, Public Works, Social Service programs, Probation and juvenile institutions, jails, and school districts.

In addition to reducing the financial expenditure for claims and lawsuits presented, we seek to reduce the number and magnitude of claims presented. RMS works with the client to analyze loss trends, determine areas of adverse exposure, and create and suggest possible solutions.


As your Third Party Administrator, we offer full-service claims and litigation management. We provide only the most experienced personnel to attend mediations, settlement conferences and assist in trial preparation. We recommend strategies that will benefit your dollar. As public entities contract with many sources, we carefully review all associated contracts for the best transfer of risk. Getting the appropriate party to pay the claim is a major objective.

RMS strives to resolve cases with possible adverse outcomes earlier than later. Successful strategies include working with City and County Council on employment cases at the administrative hearing stage, working on resolving cases at the administrative stages, promptly and aggressively handle claims to resolution to avoid lawsuits, and establishing policy change to lessen the impact of a potential future claim.

As your claims administrator, we seek ways to avoid future claims. We analyze loss trends and implement solutions. We work closely with your organization to develop policy, habit changes, and establish risk tools to reduce potential future exposures.

We are the conduit between you and your risk sharing pool and successfully utilize their resources to benefit you.

We can also assist you with cost controls, forecasting, and review of reserving practices. We want to ensure the financial stability of your programs.
